BUBLUETM Coomassie Brilliant Blue Rapid Staining Solution

Product Introduction:

The protein gel no-destain Coomassie Brilliant Blue rapid staining solution (BUBLUETM SDS-PAGE Staining Solution) developed and produced by our company is a protein staining solution that uses Coomassie Brilliant Blue as the dye, is non-toxic and has no irritating odor, and can be used for instant, highly sensitive staining of protein gels such as SDS-PAGE or native PAGE, with no destaining required. Typically, bands of about 100 ng can be detected after 5 minutes of staining, bands of about 10 ng can be detected after about 10 minutes, and gel staining with very low background can be obtained after about 20 minutes. This product is convenient and quick to use, highly sensitive, and environmentally friendly; it can save a great deal of experimental time and has become the first choice among many protein staining products.

How to use:

1. Wash the gel (the purpose is to remove interfering substances such as SDS from the gel and improve staining sensitivity; it can also be omitted): Place the PAGE gel in a suitable container, add 40-50 ml deionized water, and wash once.

2. Staining solution: Aspirate the residual liquid from the gel container, add an appropriate amount of rapid staining solution, and stain for 10-20 min.

For each gel of about 8 cm in size, use about 20–30 mL, so that the staining solution can cover the gel and the liquid level should preferably be at least three gel thicknesses above the gel. After staining at room temperature for 1–2 min, bands begin to appear; as time goes on, the stained bands will become darker. Usually, the staining time can range from 10 min to 20 min. If heated in a microwave, staining for 10 min is sufficient. The actual staining time can be adjusted according to the staining effect. The background color basically does not intensify with staining time. The staining solution can be reused 3–4 times. As the number of uses increases, the staining speed decreases slightly, but sensitivity is not affected.

3. After staining is complete, place the protein gel in water for storage and take it out for photographing.

4. Because proteins have different isoelectric points, the dye's instantaneous binding ability differs. It is recommended to stain for 30 min before placing the gel in water for better results.

Product Features:

When using this product, there is no need to fix proteins and gels. Staining is fast, stains only proteins and not gels, and no destaining is required. This is especially useful for protein purification experiments; after a few minutes, you can decide the next experiment based on the protein staining band results. The entire process is easy to operate and easy to store, requires no special equipment, and after destaining, the gel can be stored in pure water for months.

Scope of Application:

This product is suitable for laboratory-prepared or precast SDS-PAGE gels and Native gels, and can also be used for staining residual proteins on PAGE gels after Western transfer.

Tip: As with traditional Coomassie brilliant blue staining solution, this staining solution binds to positively charged groups on proteins, so quantitative comparisons between different proteins need to take into account the number of positively charged amino acids. This also explains what many users have observed: some proteins stain easily, while others stain more faintly. This is related to the number of lysine and arginine residues contained in the protein and its isoelectric point.

This staining solution is compatible with mass spectrometry analysis, meaning that protein bands stained with this staining solution can be used for subsequent mass spectrometry analysis.

Storage: Store at room temperature for one year
