SurColor Color Prestained Protein Molecular Weight Marker

Cat. No.:Cat.No.P9002    Size: 2 X 250 ul         Cat. No.:Cat.No.P9004    Size: 10 X 250 ul

Product Introduction

SuColor color pre-stained protein molecular weight marker, with a range of 14kDA-250kDA, consists of 9 highly purified and pre-stained recombinant proteins (14, 25, 35, 45, 55, 72, 100, 150, 250k, some with His tags), among which the 72 kD band is orange-red and the 14 k is green. It is suitable as a protein molecular weight marker for SDS-PAGE and Western blot. This color pre-stained protein molecular weight marker has been formulated in 1×SDS-PAGE loading buffer (50 mM Tris-HCl, pH 7.5, 1 mM EDTA, 1 % (W/V) SDS, 33 % (W/V) Glycerol, 2 mM DTT, 0.02 % (V/V) proclin300), ready to use directly; do not boil, dilute, or add reducing agents.

Depending on the size of the loading well, this color prestained protein molecular weight marker is typically loaded at 5–10 µL per well (5 µL is sufficient for a 5×1.5 mm gel well), allowing very clear protein bands to be observed during electrophoresis, after electrophoresis, and after membrane transfer.

Operating Steps

1. Thaw at room temperature until completely dissolved, then mix gently and thoroughly; do not boil;

2. Take 5 µl of this product and perform polyacrylamide gel electrophoresis at the same time as the experimental sample; for laboratories with the necessary conditions, it is recommended that when using this product for the first time, they determine the appropriate loading amount through a preliminary experiment according to their own experimental conditions and practices, as this can save costs.

3. Unused color prestained protein molecular weight marker should be stored under storage conditions and can be kept at 4°C for 1 month.

Storage conditions

Shipped with ice packs. Upon receipt, please promptly store under the storage conditions: store at -20°C; shelf life 12 months.

Important Notes

1. In low-percentage gels, low-molecular-weight proteins migrate at the dye front.

2. For high-molecular-weight proteins in Western blot, the transfer time needs to be extended or the transfer voltage increased.

3. Prestained proteins have different apparent molecular weights in different buffer systems. If non-prestained proteins are used for calibration in that buffer system beforehand, the molecular weight of the protein can be roughly determined.

4. The pre-stained protein marker also contains a His tag; for experiments using His antibodies, the loading amount can be reduced to avoid overexposure.
