About Hydroxynitrile Lyase ZS-HNL: It is an enzyme that enantioselectively catalyzes the addition of HCN to aldehydes (ketones) to afford R-type or S-type cyanohydrins. Cyanohydrins can be readily converted into various pharmaceuticals or pharmaceutical intermediates via chemical methods. Surzyme has developed 3 hydroxynitrile lyase products (Code ZS-HNL-101～ZS-HNL-103). SZ-HNL serves as a powerful tool for regioselective and stereoselective synthesis of (R)-cyanohydrins or (S)-cyanohydrins starting from a variety of aromatic, aliphatic and heterocyclic aldehydes and even ketones.
