About Leucine Dehydrogenase: Surzyme has developed one LeuDH enzyme product (Code ZS-LeuDH-101). LeuDH catalyzes the reductive amination of 4-methylbutanoate to form L-leucine, or the oxidation of leucine to 4-methylbutanoic acid. ZS-LeuDH can also catalyze the reductive amination of structurally similar α-keto acids to prepare corresponding amino acid derivatives. NADH is required as the hydride carrier during catalysis.
