Protein Purification Engineer
Protein Purification Engineer
Responsibilities
- • Lead process development and scale-up for the separation, purification, concentration, and lyophilization of recombinant proteins
- • Operate protein purification systems such as AKTA and perform purification steps including affinity chromatography, ion exchange, and size exclusion
- • Optimize purification process parameters to improve target protein yield, purity, and stability
- • Test purified products for key quality attributes such as SDS-PAGE, HPLC, and endotoxin
- • Keep purification equipment running properly and write SOPs and production batch records
Requirements
- • Bachelor's degree or above in biotechnology, biochemical engineering, pharmacy, or a related field
- • Solid understanding of protein purification principles and proficiency in key techniques such as column chromatography and ultrafiltration
- • Experience in recombinant protein purification process development and scale-up is preferred
- • Familiarity with GMP regulations; meticulous, rigorous, and strong in execution

Responsibilities
- • Handle gene cloning and the design and construction of expression vectors
- • Carry out target gene optimization, site-directed mutagenesis, and construction of recombinant expression systems
- • Perform molecular biology validation using PCR, restriction digestion, sequencing, and other methods
- • Participate in screening new protein candidates and preliminary functional evaluation
- • Write experimental records and research reports, and participate in patent and project filings

Responsibilities
- • Perform testing of raw materials, intermediates, and finished products, and issue quality inspection reports
- • Handle routine QC testing including HPLC, enzyme activity assays, SDS-PAGE, and endotoxin testing
- • Maintain QC laboratory equipment and manage reference standards and reagents
- • Participate in drafting and updating quality management system documents such as SOPs and quality standards
- • Assist in handling customer quality complaints and OOS deviation investigations

- • Familiarity with analytical methods such as HPLC and protein electrophoresis

Requirements

- • 3+ years of overseas sales experience in biological reagents, raw materials, or life science products
- • English as a working language and strong cross-cultural communication skills
- • Familiarity with international trade processes and willingness to travel overseas as required
