Function Description (English)
About Phenylalanine Dehydrogenase ZS-PDH: It is a type of oxidoreductase. In the forward reaction, it catalyzes the oxidative deamination of L-phenylalaninate to phenylpyruvate in the presence of NAD; in the reverse reaction, it catalyzes the synthesis of corresponding amino acid salts from phenylpyruvate. Surzyme has developed 83 phenylalanine dehydrogenase products (Code ZS-PDH-101～ZS-PDH-103). ZS-PDH can be used for the preparation of phenylalaninate or corresponding amino acid salts from phenylpyruvate or its derivatives.
