Function Description (English)
About Catalase ZS-CAT: It catalyzes the decomposition of H₂O₂ into oxygen and water. It is mainly found in mitochondria, endoplasmic reticulum, animal liver and red blood cells, with an especially high concentration in the liver, providing antioxidant defense for organisms. In biocatalysis, it is primarily used to remove hydrogen peroxide as a reaction byproduct and reduce the inhibition and inactivation of enzymes caused by hydrogen peroxide. Surzyme has developed only one CAT enzyme product (Code ZS-CAT).
