Product Description
This RNase Inhibitor is a recombinant mouse protein that specifically inhibits the activities of RNase A, B and C. It binds to RNase efficiently in a 1:1 non-covalent manner to suppress enzyme activity. It has no inhibitory effect on RNase 1, RNase T1, S1 Nuclease, RNase H or RNase from Aspergillus species. In addition, this inhibitor does not interfere with the activity of polymerases when used together, such as Taq DNA polymerase, AMV or M-MuLV reverse transcriptase, or bacteriophage RNA polymerases (SP6, T7 or T3).
Recombinant mouse RNase Inhibitor contains no cysteine residues. It has been confirmed that cysteines in human-derived RNase inhibitors are highly susceptible to oxidation, leading to inhibitor inactivation. Therefore, compared with human or porcine RNase inhibitors, mouse RNase Inhibitor exhibits significantly enhanced oxidation resistance and greater stability under low DTT concentrations (<1 mM). This advantage makes it suitable for reactions where high DTT concentrations are undesirable, such as real-time RT-PCR.
This product is supplied as a sterile liquid enzyme in storage buffer, appearing as a colorless and transparent solution.

Recommended Reaction Conditions
Applications
1) This product can be widely used in any experiment prone to RNase interference to prevent RNA degradation, including:
1. First-strand cDNA synthesis, RT-PCR, RT-qPCR, etc.;
2. Protect RNA from degradation during in vitro transcription/translation (e.g. viral in vitro replication systems);
3. Inhibit RNase activity during RNA isolation and purification.
Notes for Use:
1. Vigorous shaking or stirring may cause enzyme inactivation;
2. The inhibitor is active from 25 to 55 ºC and becomes inactive at ≥65 ºC;
3. It does not inhibit RNase H, RNase 1 or RNase T1 activity;
4. It has a broad pH range for RNase inhibition (active at pH 5–9), with maximum activity at pH 7–8.
